The 2016 installment of Taste of Buckhead is scheduled for Sept. 15 at a new Buckhead event space, The Stave Room at American Spirit Works. The space was previously occupied by Mason Murer Art Gallery and is located in the trendy Sweetwater Design District.
Hosted by the Buckhead Business Association (BBA), this popular event brings together more than 30 chefs and representatives from some of Buckhead’s most popular restaurants for a one-of-a-kind, upscale tasting event. This year’s Taste of Buckhead will also see the return of a silent auction following a one-year hiatus in addition to a popular VIP experience.
American Spirit Works’ American Spirit Whiskey is currently distributed in Georgia and parts of South Carolina and Tennessee. Taste of Buckhead’s VIP experience will be held at American Spirit Works, which is scheduled to open later this spring, and will include special tours of the distillery, exclusive tastings, a VIP gift bag and an opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of watching cigar makers roll high-quality cigars.
“Buckhead is the culinary center of the city, and Taste of Buckhead is a great opportunity to interact with chefs from many of the community’s most popular restaurants,” said Smita Solanki, Executive Director of the BBA. “The event gets more exciting each year, and this year’s Taste of Buckhead will be no exception. We are thrilled to change the location and give the community a chance to learn about and explore an exciting new venue in Buckhead.”
Instead of a wine wall that the event has featured in previous years, the event this year will feature a spirit wall. Attendees can purchase a ticket for $20 and take home a spirit that has been donated; proceeds will benefit the Buckhead Business Foundation, the charitable side of BBA.
General admission tickets for the event are $50. VIP tickets, which include an exclusive tour of the distillery, specialty cocktails and exclusive food samples, are available for $75.
