Two Athens Banner-Herald writers took home the Story of the Year award for the paper’s circulation class Saturday, as the Georgia Associated Press announced the writers and photographers behind the best stories and photos of 2005.
Banner-Herald writers Blake Aued and Todd DeFeo took first place in Public Service, one of nine writing categories considered by AP judges, qualifying “Navy School” for Story of the Year contention.
