Todd DeFeo, the founder of The DeFeo Groupe, has signed a deal to write a book about the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville Railroad.
The book will publish in 2019.
The state of Tennessee chartered the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville in 1852 to build a line between Guthrie, Ky., and Paris, Tenn. It opened just as the Civil War started and struggled throughout its existence; the Louisville & Nashville Railroad purchased the line in 1871.
DeFeo is also writing a book about the Western & Atlantic Railroad. That book will also publish in 2019.
