I appreciate the opportunity to be here. I’m excited to be in a community that used to be known as Northcutt Station. I think everybody knew that, right? Acworth used to be known as Northcutt Station. And I have a few remarks today. I’m going to, again, talk a little bit about the history of railroads and Acworth, and I’d be happy to take any questions at the end as well.
I like to always say I don’t have any answers, but I’m always happy to make them up.
I wanted to talk a little bit about the community and, in particular, the railroad that runs through the heart of the community, which is a railroad known as the Western and Atlantic.
And if you did not know, this railroad is actually owned by the state of Georgia. So that means if you pay taxes in the state of Georgia. You’re a resident of the state of Georgia. You own a railroad, or at least, you and 10 million of your closest friends own a railroad.
