The song was initially recorded in December 2019 for an abandoned project. Elements of the recording were incorporated into “No Road Back to You,” released in December 2021 on All That We Left Behind.
A re-recorded version of “Pass the Eggnog” was released on December 1, 2024, with “Deck the Halls Blues” as its b-side.
