The Need
Since 1951, the Buckhead Business Association (BBA) has advanced the Buckhead community. However, after six decades, the organization needed to increase its visibility and better showcase its impact.
Todd DeFeo and The DeFeo Groupe partnered with BBA to establish a consistent and compelling flow of content highlighting the organization’s efforts in community engagement, mentorship and networking events.
The Approach
At the core of this strategy was creating ready-to-publish content — including news articles, photographs, and audio snippets — designed for seamless publication by local media outlets. Additionally, with DeFeo serving on the BBA board, the organization orchestrated high-profile events, such as a public safety summit featuring local and regional law enforcement officials.
To further engage the community, The DeFeo Groupe developed and executed a survey measuring public sentiment on key local issues, including the potential expansion of the Atlanta Streetcar.
The Result
The results exceeded expectations. BBA’s efforts secured coverage in local outlets such as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Atlanta Business Chronicle and gained national attention in publications like Mass Transit Magazine and The Huffington Post.
By leveraging strategic content and media engagement, The DeFeo Groupe expanded the Buckhead Business Association’s reach, strengthened its influence, and solidifyed its leadership role in the Buckhead community.
