ATHENS, Ga. — Railfanning.org continues to publish new content highlighting railroads and the role they played in the history of Athens, Ga., and Northeast Georgia.

The website, which focuses on all aspects of railroads, first launched a page dedicated to Athens circa 2005.

Among the Athens-relevant content the website has published are articles about the Athens Terminal Co. and the Gainesville Midland. It has also featured railfanning opportunities along Atlanta Highway.

Railfanning.org, which launched in 2002, attracts both avid and novice railfans. The website also features railroad information about other Athens-area cities, including Jefferson and Winder.
