My biggest problem with the All Star game, is when managers tend to favor their own players.
Case in point – Arizona Diamondbacks’ catcher Damian Miller. He is not an All-Star, nor should he be replacing Mike Piazza. Byung-Hyun Kim is a second example. What a closer he is – he’s eighth in terms of saves.
“Kim is the biggest story in this game,” Tim McCarver said, referencing the 2001 World Series.
Though I was rooting for the National League, I enjoyed watching Kim giving up the go-ahead run. I think the fans spoke when they didn’t vote any Diamondback to the All Star game.
