On a Side Note…
It might seem that AP style should top any list that has the words successful and journalist in the same sentence. Well, it doesn’t. True, knowing something as inane as AP style may be a good thing, but I’ve never met anyone who has advanced because of their knowledge of an antiquated way of writing.
Today marks my four-year anniversary in the daily newspaper business.
