Todd DeFeo will be performing a live concert at Denison University’s Burke Hall and recording it for a music special on DTV, Denison University’s new television channel. The event will feature DeFeo performing solo at the piano with a small audience in attendence.
“I’m excited to be a part of this whole process,” said DeFeo of the event. “I’ve been composing a lot of new songs and I am looking forward to debuting them.”
HarpBlaster Records is planning on releasing a compilation of the concert, marking the first release of new material in almost a year.
Slated for the performance is a mix of older DeFeo compositions, most likely including “Walking in Paradise” and “Running Home,” as well as the newer song “I Wish You Well.” New songs set to be debuted are “Happy Tonight” and “(You Could) Be My Everything.” A large portion of the new material is currently being recorded for DeFeo’s upcoming studio album, It’s a Mystery.
“I think my new songs are perhaps the strongest I’ve written thus far,” said DeFeo. “I hope that others feel the same way about them as I do.”
