I appreciate the opportunity to be here today. I wanted to speak to you about business licenses and what I believe to be an overreach for the city.
If you asked a dozen people to choose a single picture to sum up the Northeast Corridor, you might receive a dozen different pictures. That’s because the Northeast Corridor means something different to different people.
I’m so excited to be here today. It’s a bit of a homecoming for me — even if only virtually.
To be honest, I haven’t felt privileged in the now three-and-a-half years since my son died. But I recognize some people need to score points at the expense of others. I just didn’t think that would happen at this event.
They have a lot of striking similarities, but they have an incredible difference in what the outcome was for both of them.
One thing I like about 19th century railroads, in particular, is their names. Their names tell us everything we need to know.
Give it to the railroad builders of the 19th century to not build to any of the states in their name.
Before we begin, we should align on the definition of public relations because it is not just media relations.
A resolution like this will not solve the tragedy of infant deaths in the country. But, it will help raise awareness. And hopefully, that awareness will lead to change.
