If you asked a dozen people to choose a single picture to sum up the Northeast Corridor, you might receive a dozen different pictures. That’s because the Northeast Corridor means something different to different people.

I’m so excited to be here today. It’s a bit of a homecoming for me — even if only virtually.
They have a lot of striking similarities, but they have an incredible difference in what the outcome was for both of them.
One thing I like about 19th century railroads, in particular, is their names. Their names tell us everything we need to know.
Give it to the railroad builders of the 19th century to not build to any of the states in their name.
A resolution like this will not solve the tragedy of infant deaths in the country. But, it will help raise awareness. And hopefully, that awareness will lead to change.
To fix a problem, we must first recognize it — and resolutions like this go a long way to help shine a light on an issue that still plagues so many locally and nationally.
We can’t speak for everyone who has lost a child, but we can say we appreciate your action to declare October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Let’s hope it’s a month we will no longer have to commemorate sometime soon.
The Western and Atlantic Railroad is really pretty unique in that the state of Georgia built the railroad and actually still owns it to this day.
